On November 17th, the construction of a new, sustainable distribution centre for logistics provider Vos Logistics on the De Geer premises in Oss was started. With the expansion, the company gains 25,000 m2 of extra storage space, bringing the total to 340,000 m2. The new distribution centre, with offices, is being built according to the official BREEAM 4-star standard (Excellent). Vos Logistics is thus taking another step in their goal to green the company through the use of solar panels, heat pumps, water infiltration and gas-free construction.

Frank den Brok, alderman for Economy in Oss: “For over 75 years, Vos Logistics has been connected with Oss. As a municipality, we think it is fantastic that Vos Logistics has anchored sustainability in its business strategy. It demonstrates how the company is forward-thinking, which is also important for the future of Oss.”

‘This new distribution centre is an important basis for our growth strategy in the Benelux’, says Ben Vos, CFO Vos Logistics. “With this expansion, we respond to the increasing demand for warehousing, order fulfilment and cross-dock facilities. Because of the rapid development of e-commerce, our specialization in home deliveries of oversized goods in particular has been shifted into high gear.”

Brigitte de Ruijter, Project Manager Vos Logistics: “With the addition of the new distribution centre in Oss, which is located close to the interchange of the A50 and A59 motorways and the inland shipping terminal in Oss, we are able to facilitate our growth. In combination with our own fleet for both B2B and B2C deliveries, we are able to offer fast, efficient and reliable total solutions to our clients.”

Completion of the building is planned for September 2021.
